+mizapf
Story from a German comedian (could be made up, but good anyway): "Recently I took the tramway, standing in the aisle. A young girl sitting nearby, our eyes met, and I thought - well, I may have got older, but obviously there's still something in me, the fire's not out yet, I still have something for them ... She's still looking at me, starts to smile, maybe up to saying something. And then she asked: Do you wish to sit down?"

I don't even check my mail box more than once or twice a week, except maybe when waiting for a small package from Aliexpress 😁 Daily mail deliveries are wasteful in my view and Canada Post is on the right track here.

Now, everything goes from here to Jacksonville and back. Things mailed here used to be delivered tomorrow. Now, it can take a minimum of two days, with some things taking a week or more. A customer check took a month to get to me. Another customer received their 2023 Christmas card about about three weeks ago. The last three USPS Priority Mail I sent, "promised" two-day delivery took four days. This is something no one takes seriously, except those who use or rely on it. There was a company in New York, around the 1970s, which starting delivering mail in competition with the Post Office. It was so much more reliable it started siphoning business from the Postal Service and wound up getting sued out of existence. The Post Office/Postal Service has a government-mandated monopoly on mediocrity.

I found I had to write like 5 to 9 letters at once to force it get sorted and sent out, or it would just sit there for weeks, and then writing to Canada would take 3 months to arrive and writing to Dominican Republic would take 10 months, within the USA it was about 2 weeks once it got started. He's at least 80 years old. A young lady is standing in front of him. He says: "Miss, I'm am old man and can't stand up, but if you like, you can sit on my lap. It's perfectly safe, I'm too old for anything to happen." She takes him up on the offer, but after sitting on his lap for 5 minutes, he says, "Miss, I'm afraid you will have to stand up. I'm not as old as I thought I was."

There seems to be a template that helps to generate fake Lego box artworks, as I seen many various cool LEGO sets that don't exist.

Funny, a buddy of mine used to be a tech there a while back. He was good and made bank, getting flown around the world to do work. I am not quite sure how this is going to help recruitment. Gary from OPA
🚨BREAKING🚨: For the first time ever, Olive Garden is doing an in-resturaunt promotion in partnership with an upcoming movie release! The first one in the restaurant's entire history is for the Garfield Movie, coming to theaters May 24th! https://m.olivegarden.com/specials/garfield-movie Oh'well, too bad there is no more Olive Garden in Canada, would have been a great way to celebrate my 1 year of freedom in Canada, as Gary is in fact is originally a short form of Garfield and my dad was named Garfield so he always loved the comic strip and I love pasta!
