Time Cut is now available on Netflix.. the plot of the movie is it takes you back to 2003...

Forgot the 70s/80s/90s... That is ancient history only for dusty museums now, not for viewing on your smart TV.

The era of the early 2000's is now the new vintage retro era for the small screen that today's generation wants to jump back to and enjoy again and relive the fun.

Yup. That's the exact arm but yellow in color I interfaced with the TI a decade ago :) Pretty fun to play with!

Completely unrelated to anything but this post was made on a 2009 MacBook Pro running Linux Mint.

I could not get a browser for the old OS/X that would handle modern web pages. This works better than the original.

I am totally amazed.

Can you link me to the info on how to do this. My 2010's Macbook Pros, and 2011 IMac can't be updated anymore and I'm considering that same option.

Having installed various Linux Distros on my on 2011 Macbook the best option is to search on YouTube and visually see how it's done, most even provide links etc. Just one example:

I have in the past made posts here using a MacMini running MorphOS.  You reminded me that I have not done anything with that machine in a long time.

I was putting together a Pentium 166 MHz machine and I had just thrown in the win98 Microsoft CD and was about 30 percent into install. The machine didn't seem out of balance or anything out of the norm but then this happened.

Damn! Never seen or heard of anything like that before! This could have caused a potentially serious injury had a shard of that CD manage to be completely ejected.

I would contact MS support and see how far you get just for giggles

It sounded just like a firecracker actually I was thinking it sounded like a transistor popping and so I was looking at the motherboard trying to figure out if I can see smoke or anything and then I looked at the CD and saw that piece sticking out.

Crazy oooold  CD. Of course I looked at the CD face before I put it in because the other CDs wouldn't work cuz they were scratched up and I knew if it was scratched up for sure it wouldn't work either so when I looked at the face I thought well this might just work, it's not scratched.

Voila...bam!

Back in day when I used to assemble PCs on a regular basis we had this happen a few times to install discs, it started to get more common when CD ROMs speed went above the 32x level, the 48x and 52x and the rare 64x drives could totally turn a disc into a million pieces if there was just a tiny hint of existing crack.

Is there any greater scientific endeavour than the unending quest to get Doom to run on everything? From teletext to pregnancy tests to tractors to literal rat brains in a jar, every time you think that we’ve exhausted the possibilities, someone finds a new way to play the seminal 30-year-old shooter on something new.

Z80 Sans

"What's your favourite disassembler? Mine's a font."

The magic of glyph substitution and ligatures will transform your typed hex code into Z80 assembly source.

The brat cat struck again!!  Went to the washroom and 5 USB Mem sticks disappear that I was working on.  Knew something was up when she showed up with one in her mouth.  Been searching on and off all night and one is still missing.

I've been careful with keeping all my mem cards/usb sticks in containers and zip lock bags.  Nothing is safe when you need a quick break with this rascal.
