nick_rx8 Posted January 5, 2023 Share Posted January 5, 2023 (edited) Hello everyone i got a 2600 that got no picture,i put the game in and this is the screen i get..i believe is one of the chips and i want to ask you if there is any way to test them to see which one is faulty,or if they are fixable,have fixed sega genesis games by bridging some pins of the chip and i wonder if i can do the same here Thank you!! You're risking even more damage being caused by doing so. Now, starting with the basics: What troubleshooting (if any) have you tried so far? Have the cartridge and slot been cleaned and checked for good contact? Have you tested with another cartridge? What is the output voltage at a) the power supply and b) the voltage regulator? nick_rx8 Posted January 6, 2023 Author Share Posted January 6, 2023 The voltage regulator is 12v input and 5v output,cartrige slot got cleaned and tested with another game but the TIA chip almost burn my finger lol so this is the problem i guess,so i am getting somewhere Thank you for replying!! +Stephen Moss Posted January 6, 2023 Share Posted January 6, 2023 In addition to the comments by x=usr(1536), did you try to leverage the the forums search facility, specifically in the 2600 and hardware forums to search for a solution before posting?
