bandit
Picked this up in Nov and did not work, which now it is, Had a CPU socket that used a screw to tighten Pins, also the power supply was out and the keyboard and floppy drive. Had the parts, so running fine, BUT There was a Cut out at floppy, and Power out on back ? Has anyone seen this cutout before ? I Did a bunch back in late 90's to replace the drive, but this is ? Cleaned up nice. Edited January 6 by bandit
oracle_jedi
My first guess was some sort of CF card reader might have been installed, but internal HDs on those STs are not simple to pull off, so my second guess is that someone ran the 34 pin floppy ribbon cable out of the side of the computer to a second floppy that sat on top, powered externally. Its a clean cut though. Very impressive.

bandit
Yes, the slot will fit a CF card, And the power tap inside to the back could power something. The Slot is a very clean cut, I never was able to get it like that .. Floppy cable also, maybe a Gotek external ..
