Visual Studio Code

If you paste code in a code box (or just into the editor) and it has extra blank lines, you'll need to remove the extra blank lines manually.  There's not much I can do about that, unfortunately.  It's unusual to see that many blank lines, not sure what VS Code is doing there.  I use VS Code myself for some things, so I can play around with that to see if there's a way to improve upon copying/pasting from that editor.

The strange thing is, when I hit edit to go back and remove the extra lines, there are none.  In edit mode, it looks perfect.  Once the post happens, all the extra lines are there.  But, if I then hit edit, it again shows perfectly, all the extra lines are removed.

 

I did just notice that for some reason, VS Code is set to use UTF-8, CR/LF.  I can try changing the encoding, and switch to Unix style LF only and see if that makes a difference.
