haunted_ipa_
quick question that I can't find the answer to on the google. I bought a loose copy of eliminator boar duel, and in the dust sleeve there wasn't a manual but instructions printed on a sticker. The instruction sheet is from Electro brain, so it appears that it came with the game but I'm seeing legit full color manuals on the internet. anyone have any details about it? Is this sticker/sheet something basic print black and white? Limited to largely a set of controls, perhaps maybe even some codes? I'm going go put it out there as I've seen this a lot, they're third party print outs usually done by rental or library services and attacked usually to the back of the cartridge. To look semi-legit, or to be above board, I dunno, they'd put the name, the info, and then the copyright/tm whatever from the maker/game itself on there too. haunted_ipa_
I included some pics to make it easier. I think your video store idea is probably right, but my next question would be -did Electrobrain supply these? This isn’t a photocopy
Tanooki
I've seen those, they tended to go on the rear of those clear Nintendo style sized snap cases rom rental places. They would give you the game in the case and the sticker gave you the rules so you weren't lost. And no the companies didn't do these all sorts of games had them. I'm guessing since I've seen them with a few places, there was likely some mail order operation in the later 80s into the 90s for rentals where the stores could just mail in for this stuff and they'd get in the mail.
Machine
I tried for years to find out the company that made these. I finally did and they were out of business. I always wanted a full copy of these instructions. It would be cool to have instructions on a single sheet. I did find some 3.5" floppys with the program for these instructions but it was non-op. Anyone ever find these?
Austin
Yeah, that example above definitely looks like something that would have been included in rental cases.
