Rickster8
Hey Guys, So you can use the Trak Ball controller for the Atari 2600 and this makes games like Activision Decathlon go crazy. So I was thinking how hard would it be to make a Trak Ball controller for the Intellivision? Also since the Intellivision System II has 9 pin controllers that hook and unhook how hard would it be to reprogram a CX22 Atari 2600 Trak Ball controller so it works on an Inty System II console? This is possible right? 🤷♂️ I would love to see this happen. It would make Super Pro Decathlon be playable ON STEROIDS!!! Thoughts? Cheers 🍺 Edited January 18, 2023 by Rickster8 Formatting

mr_me
For the purposes of Super Pro Decathlon it should just be a matter of adapting the pinout of the cx22 to Intellivision. If you want to use the button on the cx22, you'll need to add a couple of diodes to keep it interfering with keypad presses. And I think you'd need a cx22 with a trackball switch. Cx22 trakballs without the switch only emulate a joystick. Or a cx80 trakball with the switch set to trackball.
