It's 2023... Is there an Intellivision flashcard available for purchase anywhere?

I thought JLP was being looked into on the Intellivision BBPro adapter?

it is and has some inroads already in there now.  I have played some JLP games on the backbit, but save/load isn't in place yet.. and i don't think encryption is planned to be supported but save/load is still on the menu.. just not in place yet.

BBPro is not working for all of the original released games

which ones?  so far as I know they all work.  Chess and Triple challenge took some fixing to get the ram to work 100%.  If you know of any that don't I'm sure @evietron could address them.  She's helped me get several working.  I think atlantis was botched and she found the issue with it.

seems like every system known to man has had one except the intellivision.

yea it is interesting how it got passed over for whatever reason..

except for the Teensy 4.1 that is not really cheap and available

Ah i think that's what the backbit uses as well.

so who want to build the RTO and sell it could use this forum or others to spread the words!

I might know someone who'd be interested in doing this.  I've let them know about it.  I may be able to help them with enclosure production.

Considering how the Intellivision doesn't have either a kit nor finished cart for sale, this would fill a need(want) very nicely in 2023.

I think so too.  We need options, but I also would really want to insure that it comes out bug free..  fully vetted at the very least for the original 125..  and then a number of homebrews that work without any funky exceptions should work out of the box..  then its just a matter of addressing the various games that don't "just work.."     JLP would be on my punch list, but all of that is beyond my skill set so I don't know how feasible it is..

If you want a bug free multicart, wait for the LTO if it will be produced in the future! 😄

While I'm new to Intellivision, I've unfortunately spent quite a bit of time in the "retro" space.

What I've noticed is that for every platform or Venn diagram slice of various retro interest overlap, the people who want more than easy software emulation dwindles over time unless enough "new" things happen in that space.

It may sound like a chicken and the egg situation (more ppl drives more innovation or innovation drives more ppl), but I contend that new things keeps the community alive bc there are substantially more consumers of new software, hardware, processes, use cases than there are creators of said things.

Anyway, I'm rambling now but my selfish perspective is that while I grew up as a young kid during the Gen 2 era, I'm new to the Intellivision and would love to see this community continue to thrive like the bigger ones (C64, Atari8bit, NES, etc.)

I really have to start double checking everything I type. I meant to say... BBPro is NOW working for the official released games... Thank you for catching that.

Of course!  Although, the time horizon for that might be similar to waiting for world peace.    :D

Yeah, it's a great solution, but I'm in waiting list since months... so i decided it was faster make ones myself! ;)

Does anyone sell kits at least?

Noone i know since now, and i'm working at a new layout for the PCB and some bugfixes and improvements in version 1.1a (it's already uploaded on github but it's not yet tested), so i suggest everyone to wait for big PCBs orders! ;)

The issue that is blocking me now is that seems i can't reset the Intellivision simply grounding pin 12 of the cart: i'd like the game starts without the need of pushing reset, and that on power-on the RTO shows my splash screen!

But i miss something (maybe i have to check the ~MSYNC signal?), any hints will be appreciated!

I've waited for two years.. i'm sorry but if someone is that busy for that long, call me skeptical that suddenly time will immerge.  i have no doubt more will come, but i'm not waiting around if there are other options..  and we need options lest we face $600 LTOs and Cuttle Carts..  madness..

Any updates?   thanks!

Today I received the boards and last of the parts. I got one assembled, but I didn't have time to get much further than that. There's already a few things to change... . Hopefully I'll be able to make an update on the weekend sometime.
