Bobofett
Hi everyone, first time posting here but have been reading for a while, it's amazing how much knowledge there is around here. You guys have indirectly helped me fix a couple of my atari 2600s. Anyway, I got lucky and bought an atari 7800 (NTSC) for a song, I do not know much about the 7800 (I own a bunch of 2600s and 8bit ataris as well), my question is about the normal behavior of a 7800 with no cartridge inserted. I tried a couple 2600 games and everything looks and plays great. However, I read that the 7800 has a splash screen. My question is, are you supposed to get the splash/welcome atari logo screen every time you power it on with no cartridge in it, or you only get it when a 7800 game is inserted and detected? Thanks a lot!
+Mitch
You won't see the 7800 splash screen unless a 7800 cart is inserted. Mitch

Thought mine was broken since I didn't see it, will get a game then.
