JKK
Hi, As there is not a good forum here, let me put this small post in this one and let me invite you to have a look on simple DIY console. After all, 8-bit computers were also computers "close to the hardware", and at least I see something in common... The microprocessor used here belongs to the legendary family with roots in similar years as the 8-bit Atari, Commodore or ZX Spectrum. *** What a fun! The MCS-51 family chips (Intel 8051 and successors) are used in billions of different devices around the world! Is it possible to use such a famous microprocessor and install it in a game console instead of in an airbag in a car? In a simple and self-assembled at home? Yes, it is! A short reportage! *** A bit of fun (btw there are three easter eggs hidden in the video ;)), and a bit of retro (processor from the legendary MCS-51 family), and also some basic information how to construct simple electronic devices and a short analysis of the schematic diagram. https://youtu.be/Bvjog2xcoE0
