Play on defaults, using real 5200 systems, and Atari mfg controls. -1 HSC pt for use of period analog sticks, such as Wico, etc. The only modern exceptions are flashcarts/SD loaders, running an original Rom. Pics preferred, but not required, except for HSC wins and records. Round ends when month does. Current HSC record- Bust it for a bonus point! H.E.R.O. -(Level 1) Northcoastgamer 330,635 BUSTED! RB5200 Posted February 7, 2023 Share Posted February 7, 2023 999,999 this is a complete play through of H.E.R.O, holy sh...!. don't know if that's ever been done on a 5200 or not but there it is. ok the run down. pic 1, pic of just before the 999,999. thank god i did that, because when you hit that score it changes back to demo mode. that's what pics. 2 and 3 are. then pic 4 is of the atari it's self. That really sucks that the full 999,999 score doesn't stay there but that's why i took that pic. of just before, cause i didn't know what was going to happen. RB5200 Posted February 8, 2023 Share Posted February 8, 2023 (edited) Well I did it again, this time with the actual cartridge, kind of had the hopes that maybe the cartridge would show the final score, but nope just rolls right on over to the demo. So that's as close of a score to the ending that I can show. 😒 oh well, I guess it is what it is. Most of the time, it's 1pt. On rolled games, the 1pt can be re-earned each time the game comes up in my rotation, even by same player, thus the 2 here. In this round, anyone passing the starting record, would get +1, then possibly reach +2, for matching you. It just doesn't happen that often, though we've wrung some real surprises out of a cx52. I made finals in county pistol shooting, 6 straight yrs, lol.
