How many have or play Defender Arcade (by PacManPlus) and like it better than Atari's original version???

Well Bob Decrecenzo @PacManPlus has yet another winner, this time with Defender Arcade for the 2600, and it is awesome that he did this longtime favorite the justice it deserved but never got.

One question in regards to the utilization of the smart bombs and also hyperspace, how do I do them?

BTW the graphics are absolutely phenomenal considering the fact you're playing it on a 2600, nary a flicker in the house!!!

The button on the second joystick activates smart bombs. Spy Hunter uses the same mechanic for oil slicks. You can position the second joystick on the floor and tap the button with your foot (if you don't mind stepping on your joystick). A few years ago I built a custom two button joystick just for these two games.

That's a terrific idea,  I might take up perhaps doing up a similar type in a plastic enclosure with 2 (or however many are needed depending on the game) fire buttons on it, this might be a pretty damn good project, maybe something like that would be great for 5200 Pole Position where one button is the gas and one is the brake would be kinda cool.
