It's a pretty cool game once you know what's going on, but you HAVE to read the manual, otherwise you'll be lost especially on the 2nd stage (building the dreaded ice berg bridge).... A lot of the frustration could be removed if you were prevented from moving forward after throwing the hook. The controls are just too complicated. Push the button, push a direction, release a direction, release the button. Too many things to do and there's not enough control over the hook or the fireballs. 95% of all gameplay occurs on that screen and more than half of it is replaying after ice takes out a long stretch of bridge - not fun. On the Ice Bridge Level when you hook a berg, but it's not reachable to drag in sometimes the hook will stay in and you cannot do anything else. Press up on the disc and it will release the berg that is stuck. Also on the 3rd stage (the Ice Castle), pressing up on the disc is very important because it will make Vali stop, otherwise he will flail back and forth on the ice which is very hard to control getting good shots off. So remember to press UP on the disc both of these times. It should help.... 👍 Also on the 3rd stage if you have one piece left to melt don't wait underneath it. Wait to the side and when all 4 black ice crystals shoot out towards you then move in for the final fire strike... It's kind of like a cat and mouse tactic.... I think I'm gonna start axing the caribou because they are troublesome and the She Goddess is a terrible shot, lol.... EDIT: I'm going to try Level 1 next. wolfy62 Posted February 25 Share Posted February 25 Finally made and crossed an Ice bridge 🌉 on Level 3! This game and the Ice bridge level are all about persistence. You don't lose lives if an iceberg takes your bridge out,it's just frustrating when it happens over and over again.
