+Pac-Lander
Does anyone know where this character artwork originated? I.e. who the original artist is, for what purpose, game or event was it commissioned for, etc? It pops up in most searches for Bentley Bear artwork. I found it here: https://www.giantbomb.com/bentley-bear/3005-114/ I've seen this rendition in poster art and also in promotional ads, such as this: https://www.vintagecomputing.com/wp-content/images/retroscan/bentleybear_large.jpg (which came from this site: https://www.vintagecomputing.com/index.php/archives/273/retro-scan-of-the-week-bentley-bear-touched-my-bum) At the bottom it states "We claim no rights over this image". I've also seen it in posters like this, which came from this site with no information about it: https://arcarc.xmission.com/Web Archives/www.Safestuff.com (Aug-24-2003)/data/ataritrip/pages/ataritrip48.jpeg.html Thanks in advance! - Aaron aka @Pac-Lander
SlagOMatic
According to this page on arcade-history.com graphics for Crystal Castles were created by Barbara Singh and Dave Ralston. If the graphics were created by them there's a good chance they're also responsible for other artwork, or may have an idea about it (if you can contact them). Don't know if any of that helps but it may be a start.
