carlsson Posted April 6 Share Posted April 6 Millipede - 269963 pts I would like to point out that previously (including last time around in the HSC), I must have played the NTSC version on PAL hardware and was frustrated with all the flickering making bonus levels impossible to survive, unshootable items and various bugs. Then I downloaded the PAL fixed version and boom, I doubled my initial score and improved my previous PB by 25%, despite playing past midnight and being both tired and a little drunk. Hopefully I'll have time to play even more when I'm at the top of my senses, now that I have a working version. Fun game, but I think it probably plays better on real hardware. No I used PAL for Millipede. When I asked before, I was asking to switch from NTSC to PAL, not the other way around. I had been playing exclusively on NTSC up until now, but I switched to PAL for all my scores during this round. Millipede is way faster and harder on my emulator on NTSC mode. I was able to do okay with it (270k I think), but switching to PAL slowed things down, which helped me learn and improve at the game. Sorry for the confusion. I didn't know that there was a bonus for playing on NTSC. I was going to ask about what that "+1" meant on my score, but yeah please remove that bonus point as I shouldn't have it. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I managed to have 6 lives left at score 300000 multiple times, but then I lost them very quickly, about 1 life every minute, so I always ended up with a similar score with no progress. Still, it was a good round.
