Yo-Yo Shuriken released on Neo-Geo (MVS, AES and CD)

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm pleased to share the release of my game Yo-Yo Shuriken on Neo-Geo MVS, AES and CD formats.

The game is a single-screen shooter with a unique twist:  you are using a single shuriken that can be thrown, then recalled so you can hit enemies from the front and/or from behind. The game is even more fun with a friend, with a cooperative-competitive 2 players mode.

I’m also interested in the Neo-Geo CD version. I like how you use a simple Robotron play mechanic and include boss battles as well. Brilliant!

I'm very happy (and a bit proud too ;)) to announce that my Neo-Geo  game Yo-Yo Shuriken is now available in physical release for the home Neo Geo AES console!

 

This physical release is made a reality thanks to Neo Geo specialist JapanGameOnline @japangameonline who is manufacturing, publishing and selling the game. This gorgeous release comes with a Snaplock box (hard case), a newly manufactured AES cartridge and a manual. It's available in both US style and Japanese style variants, so it should blend nicely in the rest of your AES collection!

Due to the difficulties and high costs of manufacturing new complete-in-box AES games today, this will be a limited release. Each copy is numbered, and we'll make a maximum of 50 units in total (US and Japanese versions combined, we could only manufacture 50 cartridges).

 

And of course, if you buy the Neo-Geo AES physical release, you'll also receive the ROM versions for free (CD, AES and MVS)!

Is there an MVS release of this also or on the way? I stopped playing on my AES years ago and switched to an Omega.

Yes, there will be a MVS version later in the year off of JapanGamesOnline website and Ebay shop page. Right now a Japanese AES version is in the works.

Yes, as Anthony mentioned above, the MVS version is also currently in the work. Hopefully, it should be available by the end of 2023 :).

 

I'll post here when it's available - it'll be manufactured, published and sold by JapanGameOnline, like the AES release.
