t0ri
Hi all, Thanks to our brave Polish Atari Area Forum colleague GWINTER, who made his card available for analysis, it became possible to read all five GAL20V8 protected chips. I would like to point out that the card is in full version and supports both Mono and Color. So it is possible both to repair damaged cards and to upgrade existing Mono with a Color version. For files, please visit my www (Polish only - use Google translator to read if needed) Greetz tOri http://reversing.pl/ http://atari.myftp.org/
leech
Ooh, will this allow clone cards to be made? Getting some cheaper VME cards would certainly be a huge help in making some Atari workstation dreams come true!
t0ri
-> leech Sure, but I don't know who will restore schematic of this card - this is a must! This is a very difficult challenge because the card is complicated and I currently do not have time for such complex projects which does not mean that I will not do it in future This isn't VME card. It is for MegaST - Megabus solution. If there is any interesting and reproducible VME video card - it would be worth trying to build a clone - but first you need such a card to research and reproduce the scheme.
