RockLobster
Can someone reproduce this behavior? https://github.com/qoq/wiijoy I'm on 1.06 of the Harmony Cart firmware and an early 2023 build of the WiiJoy. This adapter is great and lets you use Wii's nunchuck, gamepads and even the NES/SNES Classic controllers for the 2600. However, I've noticed that while this adapter has worked well on my real light mixer 2600, colecovision expansion module #1, real 7800 and even via SNAC on the MiSTer, it doesn't not seem to do well on Harmony's menu. Every once in a while it'll work but will often become unresponsive sometimes even locking up until a hard reset with a regular Atari compatible controller plugged in. I can even start the Harmony menu, launch a game and then swap out the WiiJoy adapter back in. It's great bc it has a 7800 mode as well as auto fire in 2600 mode. However, plugging / unplugging stinks.
Thomas Jentzsch
I guess the adapter + controller are creating signals which irritate the controller auto detection of the Harmony menu code. A Sega Genesis controller does the same, because it uses paddle pins too. And is therefore detected as paddle. This can be overcome by pressing button B during power on. Maybe something similar works for your case too.
