tkarner
So here's an interesting bug. I was playing Pleiades (the binary available in the AtariAge database). It plays perfectly on a 2600 but doesn't advance past the second level when played on a 7800. More specifically, once you destroy the mothership on level 2 it should advance to level 3, the space docking level. Instead it momentarily flashes level 1 on screen and then jumps right back to level 2. You're caught in a loop playing level 2 over and over. I'm curious if a physical cart of Pleiades plays properly on a 7800.
+batari
I think this may be related to the weird bankswitching used in Pleiades and (I think?) Funky Fish. I think it would not affect all 7800s, just those with the infamous timing kludge (and the fix is fairly simple.) I worked around the kludge for Starpath on the Harmony and other games, but I guess Pleiades is a bit of an obscure title that it's taken until now for anyone to report an issue. So I can take a look at the UA bankswitching driver and see if the same changes can be made for compatibility with certain 7800s.
