The concept of frogger is not an original idea from konami/sega,that’s because our beloved company Nintendo beated it with a punch 2 years earlier in their 1979’s space launcher i wich you also have to avoid hazzards such as enemy’s and objects to reach the top of the screen but then you have to land back on the ground were you started from,in frogger, sega had redefined this concept by requiring the player to guide the frog across the other side of the streets and river by timing your jumps over treetrunks,or get across the streets by avoiding cars etc,,,  in order to get to the top of the screen and that games was a huge success BUT it is Nintendo wich should deserve credits for inventing this concept, eventrough Nintendo space launcher was just another space game variation of the sooo many other space shoothers at the time,

but we may can say that frogger might,ve NEVER existed without the game space launcher🤣

and there you go something i give Nintendo credit for rather then sega or konami,so hey hey🤣

Who cares if it was first? People loved it then and people love it now because it's a fun game. Nothing more, nothing less.

And here's the game that actually pioneered the mechanics you're talking about.

Mmm interesting,i don’t know what game it is but did it not predated nintendo’s space launcher???

yeah it’s true that eventually it’s all about the fun and NOT who came first BUT it’s still pretty sad that people will eventually forget about it at what came before,as a result those games who started it will fade into obscurity, wich is pretty sad because they do deserve it’s important place in history as well.
