It's one thing to spam it onto Amiga boards, but Atari boards? It isn't 1997. The project sounds much like a directory site hosted on Geocities. Why does the Amiga community need this? It all exists. Looks like a blatant cash grab and attempt to appoint certain personalities 'the king of all Amiga'. Is the irony of spamming this stuff onto boards that have offered the same services for FREE for 20+ years lost on you? You spammed it onto various Amiga boards that offer discussion groups and even Amibay whilst you are also offering a marketplace? The entire thing looks like an attempt to undermine the community that has been managing fine for years. Please go away. [logs out and goes back to lurking. Might post again in 2027]

It does seem extremely ego driven and the sort of thing that would of been needed some 30+ years ago, but not now. As you make clear, the Amiga community itself has been doing just fine, why would this been seen as a necessity? It's just bizzare.
CommodoreCEO
As CommodoreCEO, I hereby denounce this nonsensical project.

carlsson
I haven't been following the topic, but I read that David Pleasance got quite upset on Facebook on all those questioning his project. 🙄 More to the point, the Amiga never was an 8-bit computer so posting the link in this section is highly off-topic, on the verge of spamming as you already have been called out for. RobertB
Actually, the Amiga Global Alliance was supposed to be called the Commodore Amiga Global Alliance encompassing all Commodore 8-bit and Amiga computers. However, the resulting acronym of that latter name was derogatory in Spanish and Italian (and others?). So, the C was dropped in favor of the rest of the acronym. Even with the acronym, AGA, the initiative still encompasses all Commodore 8-bit and Amiga computers. See the above Youtube video in which I directly question David on this matter. RobertB
To his great regret, David has cancelled the AGA initiative. carlsson
I still don't know what it was about, except people keep mentioning the same stuff has been online for free for decades, and it was an attempt to wall in otherwise free information in a pay solution. Also the name of the project was very misleading if it was meant to cover everything Commodore.
