Any interest in TI festival in Central Texas area in the Fall?

I have access to a fairly decent size meeting area/ house that I can use just about any Fri-Sun. It's in East San Antonio right off I-35 near downtown. has lots of tables, chairs, a kitchen, and a security system to protect items left over weekend. direct and WiFi internet and a huge big screen monitor. also eating places local and hotels in the area. about hour 1/2 from Austin, 3+ from Houston & 5+ from Dallas.

Just wondering if any interest in using it as a TI festival for the Fall?

I'm thinking October for the meeting which is usually a slow month for everyone. I'll set up cameras to televise. it'll be FREE.

i'll just need 4 or 5 commits since it's free to me to borrow the house for a weekend.

i'll supply snacks

I would love to attend.

With family commitments, I really can't lend a hand organizing.  Sorry about that.

Just don't make it the weekend before Chicago TI Faire :)

no problem, I got this.

TI Chicago Faire also in Fall? what date?

It is usually on or around the first of weekend of November, but it all depends on the Northwestern University football home-game schedule. Hotel rooms in Evanston are at a premium on those weekends, so Hal tries to avoid them at all cost. If the current schedule holds, October 28 is a home game, so probably safe for your gig. I don’t know about November 4. It is technically a home game but it is at Wrigley Field, 8 miles south of Evanston. Hal is not on this forum, but perhaps Hal’s son, John Shanafield ( @KB9ZQT ), can enlighten us.

Hummm,

wonder if late August might be better then? Give a few months between venues & more enough time for me to get everything together.

BTW, San Antonio is quite the tourist town with the Alamo, the River Walk, Sea World, Fiesta Texas, etc...

I have no idea how to make a poll. But, I'm sure someone does and can tell me. :)

It's easy to make a poll on AtariAge.  Just start by creating a new topic, make sure you put the poll title in on the content tab.  click on the Poll tab, add the poll title there too, then start creating your questions and choices..
