My Idea for a hack.

Since I can't hack, I can only dream, can I?

 

This Idea was to Hack Donkey Kong to:

 

1. Change the colors of the Ramps (to Red) and the Rivits (to dark blue)

2. To Make the sound more to the arcade.

3. Add the Elevator Level (May need more memory) to be comparable to the NES version (It had only 3 levels- Ramps, Elevators, Rivits)

4. Enhance the sprites. (DK looks like Jason covered in mud, and Mario looks like he's wearing pajamas.)

5. WTF is with those barrels!?!? They look more like cookies.

 

I'm not sure if this all is possible, but I know some of it is. It could be Donkey Kong ARCADE. I think the 2600 Donkey Kong is passable, but that is it.

Hack? You would need to totally rewrite the game to accomplish all that. There was a lengthy thread regarding this one a while back.

I don't know how to hack or program, even though it is my interests. It was just an Idea.

If you search these Message Boards, you will quickly discover we ALL want a DK (and DKjr) revision.

 

But until someone really gets the drive to write a whole new game, we are stuck with what we've got
