Kroah
(seems like I can throw Mario project in the waste bin now ) Hey, please don't do that! Every game is a pleasure on its own and yours is really promising. Even if you don't have much time and will take several years to finish, don't give up!... please Pascal
pseudografx
Wow, it's really not too easy, though with some practice it's not that hard as well :-)
miker
I agree with Kroah. Analmux: you should finish your game, too!
kevin242
I cant find any info on Crownland on that site, just some demo's. Anyone have better luck?
Gregory DG
This is one of the most amazing 8-bit games I've ever seen! Wow! Now, if the 8-bit can do this, surely the 7800 can too!
miker
Stryker said that on their site are only scene-related prods, not games. Maybe it will change, maybe not. And about the the game... stay tuned!
Gury
Great game!!! I tried it with my new Competition Pro USB joystick on PC emulator and it works perfectly. Man, 8-bit Atari is great for arcades. I enjoy it, even in my age This game really rocks...

miker
ATR version (for those who don't know how to do it) crownland_preview.atr.zip
Almost Rice
The ATR version works in a Myide as an image. Why did it need to be a double density disk? This game looks great BTW.
miker
So which density are you interested in? Edited October 13, 2006 by miker

pseudografx
Sending some bugreports. Bug #1 (minor): The first screenshot shows the main character standing in the air (no platform under his feet). I only met this error at this place. Bug #2 (major): Sometimes it happens that the main character disappears and some garbage pixels appear at the same place (sometimes a short part of explosion animation is shown, but not with the proper colour change). After 1-2 seconds the game interrupts as if the hero died, but there were no enemies anywhere near him.
cbmeeks
OMG! I swear, I almost don't believe this entire thread. It's like too good to be true. Some sort of emulator trickery. :-/ I'm off to work now but tonight, I am going to fire up my real Atari 800XL and see just how nice this sweet piece of demo works! wooohoo!!!! Don't give up! cbmeeks

MEtalGuy66
The executable version runs under spartados fine. I put it on my MIO hardisk. I tested it on an NTSC 130XE. no problems whatsoever with the main game screen. When you start the level, and the text "falls" off the bottom of the screen, it "falls" a few scan-lines out of NTSC range, and there is a momentary loss of V-HOLD.. (about half a second,) but when the game screen comes up, all is well.
Inky
Is there any way I could put this file on a tape, and play it on my XE?
dely
xex2cas.com, then cas2wav.com, now burn result on CD, then transfer it to tape Tested - works!

cbmeeks
AWESOME WORK! I ran it on my 800XL and it works great. When "Mario" gets too high sometimes he fades out...I'm assuming that is the multiplexer fading. VERY nice work.

I didn't do anything! I got it too last night. I just released my ip and got a new one. This wont work if you have a static ip. I wonder why my IP was banned in the 1st place. I don't go there very often. Edited October 14, 2006 by Almost Rice
