Wayler
Cmon guys, this is not the proper way to bump the thread. You must use color math and outside-the-box thinking to really push the bumping to its limits. And it has to be a mock-up, no actual effort allowed. Naturally, stealing other people's assets is a requirement. Well, I guess the asset stealing has been checked already. 1
M-S
You might not believe it, but Kirk managed to convince an actual SNES developer to turn one of his crazy tech demo ideas into a real game that is going to be sold in the near future. Good for him I guess, it would still be better if he learned to code for the console rather than begging others to do the heavy work for him, but it's better than nothing. 1

I don't believe it. Is it that shoot 'em up demo we've seen a bazillion times? But if you possess the coding skills to make an actual SNES game, I fail to see how someone like Kirk is integral to the process. His ideas or concepts are not that special, he doesn't do graphics, he doesn't compose music.... So what does he bring? Can't think of anything besides money. And crazy.
Tanooki
I'm sad, he found a sucker. This will only encourage him to harass and stalk people to do more work for him, someone who supposedly was so skilled to have worked at Rare and got so many...oh yeah, no games out.
M-S
It is a shoot'em up developed by a Brazilian called Maxwel Olinda, probably the one he always showed, can't check it anymore because Twitter has been banned on Brazil (unless...). But Kirk was credited as the background artist at least.

I think you're giving Kirk way too much credit with that type of description. I pretty much only use Twitter to follow things like homebrew development when updates aren't posted anywhere else, and I started following this Maxel guy a while back. He's been posting nice-looking shooter demos for a while now. From what I can tell, he already several frameworks in place and was well on his way to moving beyond demos into something bigger anyhow... Kirk merely provided some art. Not his tech, not his ideas, just some pixel art of the bridge we've seen a million times. For those not on Twitter, a mirror: snes.mp4

Wayler
It looks like soon Kirk will have no excuses left to not make a game: https://www.timeextension.com/news/2024/08/homebrew-tool-nesmaker-changes-name-announces-snes-development-is-coming
Tanooki
I have a license for that program, and SNES is being added? That stirrs up some old memories of things that never came about, and even then what little was surely was more than what he put into it. Sorry if you say his name three times just like that other anti-hero in movies now, he can appear. :\
