Shift838
I picked up the below monitor and it works great with the Atari ST. No loss of pixels or anything. Jfcatari
I think the 22" can. I ordered one off of ebay. I should have it tomorrow to test with.
Jfcatari
I just got a Dell P2222H monitor and I am very sad to say: It does NOT support ST Low/Med resolution, only High! like the Dell 27" https://www.microcenter.com/product/638580/dell-se2722h-27-full-hd-(1920-x-1080)-75hz-led-monitor supports Edited September 13, 2023 by Jfcatari
djglish
So, does this monitor work or not? Jfcatari, did you use the switching cable with it? If you used a regular VGA cable then it won't work. I'm interested since the 27" would just be too large for my space. I have a switching VGA cable that I built years ago. Shift838, any chance of getting some pictures of the different resolutions. Also can the monitor be set to 4:3 resolution to avoid stretching? It only works in HighRes. I also tried the box from Shift838, same deal. The 22 does support 4:3. The only monitor that works in all resolutions is the 27" Dell.
djglish
Thanks, that is exactly what I wanted to know. Now the tough decision whether I want to try and shoe horn a 27 inch monitor into my setup.
Jfcatari
I have the 27" and I think it is a great monitor over all. Works well on all modern stuff along with the ST (low, med, high)! I do wish the 22" worked like the 27", I was also afraid of the size of the 27", but have gotten used to it. At least I can save others from making the mistake and picking up the 22"!
eightbit
The title of this thread should be edited to inform people that it only works in high res mono.

TGB1718
Look further up this thread, @Jfcatari bought one and said it doesn't work, there's also another tread on this subject where other found the same thing 27" works 22" does not Not all AMD FreeSync's are equal, I have several different monitors that have this, but none work with the ST (I have a switcher cable) all work in Hi-res none in Med/Low Res

Forrest
TGB1718 appears to have made an incorrect statement. I can confirm the 27 inch SE2722H definitely works at 60 Hz Low rez and Medium Rez - both color modes. I have not tried it in High Rez Monochrome. Most games don’t work in High Rez

Most games don’t work in High Rez Does it also work in low/med at 50hz? If it can do all three modes in both 50 and 60hz, it absolutely is a great modern solution worth seeking out. A great many games and demos switch to 50hz making 50hz capability a must even though our USA consoles boot up at 60hz. I am attaching 5060hz.PRG that will switch between 50 and 60hz if someone can be so kind to test on a ntsc SE2722H. Hopefully with a ST2VGA 5060HZ.PRG
