Is there a Hard Drive Image out there, that can run on one of the emulators?

Yes. Everything is available on the ADAM Archive.

 

if you want to use emulation, you will need to use ADAMem DOS v1.81 (by Doug Slopsema) or ADAMem SDL v1.81 or later (by Geoff Oltmans).

I did not see the hard drive controller listed in the invoice?  Was the controller bundled with the 40MB drive for $199?

Its funny that they put the hard drive in that spot.  That is exactly where i have one of my IDE drives sitting 

My other hard drive is in a repurposed Adam floppy driver case (that was broken)

I can only assume that the IDE Interface Card (Slot #1), IDE Cable and IDE Hard Drive were all bundled in for the $199 price.

 

Even at this late point in time, Terry was using the Invoicer program that he wrote for the ADAM in SmartBasic, so it must have been a challenge to constantly have to update stock items in the program's database. I took a look Invoicer when he released it in the late 80s and it did the job, but I was gladly using a DOS-based program already for all our store and mail-order needs.

Thanks for the information @NIAD .   I was a party to the transaction, but now you have lifted a veil and even more is clear to me. Is Terry of Adam House still around?
