gferluga
Dear TI-99 team... Is possible to use a MP3 player to emulate a tape to load via CS1 command on a real TI-99 with real CS1/CS2 cable? Thanks in advance.
+acadiel
Yep. I had to put a small amp inline. https://www.facebook.com/groups/ti99ers/permalink/10158117975449844/?mibextid=9R9pXO
+Atari2600PAL
I was able to use my old 5th Gen iPod with just a stereo splitter lead and plugging the TI cable into left or right cable and then adjusted the settings to maximise output to left or right

+OLD CS1
We have a whole other thread discussing this, as well. I used a simple adapter I made to connect my SonyEricsson phone (R.I.P.) to the computer. I had to combine both channels because "you'll blow your ears out, kid." Whatever. A small in-line amp would probably work inside the adapter, but, meh. The thing to remember is the TI expects speaker level input. That is, the amplified output you send to an 8Ω speaker. Whereas most headphones are not just amplitude limited, but a different impedance altogether, which is the output of choice for our portable devices. gferluga
Ok. Thank you all. Looks like as simple as on my Apple II or Sharp 1500.
