Hi ,

I found good almost new sony floppy drive , did the easy part which is the jumper mod .. works fine..

now for the known issues:

how to remove that original floppy cable from the atari motherboard? is it removable? because the cable has to be flipped for the sony drive

second thing is the face plate of the original, this is the type with large button in the center, again, it doesn't want to come off the original single sided drive , any hints please, it shouldn't break..

thanks

Have to do the same for a GOEX drive, unless you want to try unsoldering the header and putting in a socket, the only way is

to use a short extender cable allowing the twist.

Sorry can't help with the faceplate, usually they are just pushed on with the plastic providing "spring clips" to hold it on.
