+Cafeman
I would like to start looking at the code for some 8bit Atari ROMs. Is there a way to see the source ASM listing for each ROM, perhaps using Atari800Win or its DOS equivalent? Question #2 -- if so, is there a way to spit the source into a text file, in order to recompile and play around with the code?
DEBRO
Try Dis6502. This is what I have been using to disassemble 8-bit and 5200 games. It can't do it all for you though. You will have to help in some areas. Such as pointing out display list data and character data but it works great.
ndary
I use the 6502 disassbler.. without knowing wich part of the memory is data and wich are pure source code.. you will have though job.. good luck
+Sheddy
Atari800Win Plus 3.0 has a half decent disassembler built into its monitor too. No good for extracting a whole program though (well, you could mark, copy, paste every page...) But on the plus side you can play with changing simple stuff while the code's running. Heaven posted he was doing this recently to Zone Ranger to figure out his Time Pilot sprite engine.
