I don't think it is THAT bad....mid pack of the 7800 library I'd say. …yes, I agree it’s much closer to a mediocre/generic game than crap (as to my taste). The controls of your Tank is very 1:1, almost ridiculously so for a…Tank(!). Usually I set my canon-distance to lowest or 2, on the range scale. That makes it easy to aim your explosions. I adjust gun-range only occasionally. It could’ve used more backdrops and more polish on everything, but it lands everything on ‘generic’, not crap (in my view). In some other games, I just don’t get to grips with the controls at all; they are all over the place. (Not Jinks, which plays fine - just not my type of game). Tank Command is responsive, - giving the impression you control a cardboard-vehicle with a gun-turret - both as to turning and what it can withstand (one single shot/explosion from anything). Except for that, it’s the usual stuff about learning enemy behaviour and when to proceed fast vs slow ‘n cautiously. Yeah, some unnecessary places to get stuck. If this game had been printed in many copies, I’d sure would have no problems picking up an original for $30-50 to complete my collection. I actually tried to beat it a couple of times, and I don’t really find it that much worse than other ‘commando’ or ‘Ikari’-clones on the C64 BITD. Paying $500+, is not something I’ll do (lightly… just for a couple of goes once every 8 month or so). Edited June 14 by Giles N 1

They were only used for Sentinel and Ninja Golf and are probably PAL Sentinal's. Aaand, I found some brand new Jinks, I have enough donor shells already.

4300
It's very doable. There are a few games that will get into the $150-200 range loose ,but there's nothing in the price range of some of the harder to find NES or SMS games. It's a small game catalog and not too difficult to complete if you're patient. Use the PayPal "pay in 4" to make the expensive purchases a little more manageable. Maztr_0n
Guess atari would wanna look into getting the rights to froggo to solve the 100% complete issue, although i would like to be messaged when someone finds NTSC Ikari Warriors for like... idk not too ridiculous of a price? Definitely for Collectors only. I've never seen a positive review for Tank Command. To pay $800 for a CIB is an easy pass. Water Ski is somewhat better. Great concept for a game, but incredibly difficult and frustrating. Reasonably priced to as a CIB just sold on eBay for $71.
+GoldenWheels
Damn you guys got me in the Tank Command doldrums. I look at my "nearly complete set" box every year or so and I'm like "you're too close, don't give up!" but....it's just not super realistic.

Water Ski is just fun enough to keep me coming back trying to get better at it. But yeah, it's crazy hard, and I can imagine a version that was just, say, 25% easier and would be one of my 7800 favorites.

I’ve never tried to complete the collection, but Water Ski and Ninja Golf are two quirky games and that’s why they are a couple of my 7800 favs. I purchased my copies back in ‘08. Water Ski is quite the challenge, but I really like it.

Whelp....I gotta look at my sealed 7800 group and decide if I want to just sell it off. When I was seeing sealed copies at like $800, I thought MAYBE a $500 Tank Command would grace my door someday. Doesn't appear that way. Jeez. If I sell them off, I can finally buy Bonk 3 for the turbografx...then all I really need is...Magical Chase. I have a loose TurboChip of Bonk 3: Bonk's Big Adventure. It was not too expensive, but complete would be killer. Wouldn't a complete copy of Magical Chase be more expensive than the entire 7800 library?
