The monitor does not have speakers.

It does support 15 KHz.  I have two of these and many other in the forum use them.

Here are other stats if you want to take a look:

Hi Jfcatari,

Is it achieved on VGA input (I don't think so - HDMI only freesync)? Do you use this monitor with AtariST in all three resolutions (you write in title about it)? Some kind of VGA<->HDMI converter? I suspect it is possible because AMD Freesync technology built in this monitor but HDMI in only (?). Please write more...

129.99 Canadian on Dell's site... according to google at today's exchange rate that's 93.93 USD.

Now down to $119 CAD.

I'll be using this on my Mega STe. What are people using for speakers? I haven't been using one, as it's currently just being used for Infocom games (and Phantasie)

It is over VGA and it must be the free sync.

Here is the other thread from the forum:

It's an STe, so it should have left and right audio out the back?  I use a regular old school stereo rca hook up to a 3.5mm jack and then plug into a cheapie audio mixer so I can share one set of speakers with 4 computers.

I'll have to modify the Video switchbox that I made a number of years ago to add the sound.  Didn't think of it at the time.  I have a STFM so the only sound out is through the video cable.  I have plenty of powered speakers that I can use for sound once I add the output to the switchbox.  The monitor arrived today so I'll have to try it out this weekend.

I'm really impressed with the color output in both low and medium resolution.  Mono is Ok but much clearer on my 24" Samsung monitor.

I also have a composite to VGA converter and tried it with my trusty old 800XL on the Dell monitor.  It gives a pretty good picture.  The converter also has a S-Video input so I'll have to decide if I want to do the Chroma mod to the computer to get an even better picture.  I love the fact that the monitor does 4:3 format.  PacMan looked really good on the  bigger monitor.

Hi,

I have something else to check on this monitor. I am very curious if it is possible to handle signals (mono video+HVsync TTL) from the older Hercules cards for PC. Maybe MDA, CGA, EGA too. That would be very funny if so... :D

Hi,

I have some old cards and old PCs and will try to check HGC on se2722 for some time.

@Jfcatari - what frame frequency are you using on ST? 60Hz or 50Hz? I suspect 60Hz (US standard). Can you check se2722 in 50Hz scan mode? Use software frequency switcher to do this or any demo with this feature, please. I'm afraid the monitor can't handle Vsync=50Hz and runs from 60Hz upwards only...

HGC works at Vsync-50Hz, Hsync-18,4kHz so horizontal can be handled by AMD Freesync for sure but what it can do with vertical?? Can Freesync handle this?

Atari ST Mono has 35,7kHz Hsync and 71,2Hz Vsync - it is working for sure.

Using my US Atari STE, I tested with two different 50 to 60Hz switching programs in LOW/Medium resolution, both worked fine with the

Dell 27 Inch Monitor - SE2722H

The monitor did appear to do some readjusting for a bit, but the screen in LOW/MEDIUM was fine.

WoW!

I'm impressed... This shows that even HGC could be possible to run on this monitor... Awesome thing at the moment, haha. I am already looking forward to the delivery of my equipment.

Thank you for checking it. I'll check it too.
