Two new Hardware products released for the ColecoVision!

Lundy Electronics has just released and has in stock the ADAM Speech Synthesizer (don't let the name fool you, it works on the ColecoVision as well) and the IO Expansion Hub, both of which are available in ADAM white or ColecoVision black.

 

Games are in development, one completed that will be shipping soon, that will add speech if the ADAM Speech Synthesizer is connected to the ColecoVision or ADAM Computer. One can also download the technical details on this device which also includes programming information so that anyone can add speech to their own creations.

The IO Expansion Hub allows for the connection of up to three hardware add-ons to the ColecoVision or ADAM Expansion Interface. So if you have an Opcode SGM and ADAM Speech Synthesizer, no worries and no swapping of devices if you have the IO Expansion Hub.

They both look great!  I have lots of hardware from Lundy and I would strongly recommend them!

Sad, that they don't ship outside USA/Kanada.

But I completely understand that the risk and effort is not worth it.

Here's the thing... it never hurts to ask.  If you are willing to pay additional money to ship international, maybe even a more expensive option to help guarantee its arrival safely, then drop Lundy a message and see if he'd do it.  I have gotten many items from Europe to the US from people who say they won't ship outside of Europe simply because I was willing to pay the extra money and take on all responsibility if they item didn't make it to me.

Of course I'm willing to pay extra money but here is no chance.

I bought many, many Colecovision stuff from the US to Germany without one single Problem.

That looks cool as hell but if it were me I would remove the feet off those cases and sand the edges to make them smooth.
It also look like the 3D is separating in whatever that first case is.

That's a shame.  Money just left on the table.  Not very smart nor helpful to the community, IMO.

I agree.  It would look better without the feet.  I noticed they are just screwed on.

Does the speech synthesizer work with the french scart CV?

 

As I know is the audio routing inside the expansion port different to the non-scart CV.

I am not sure if its Different but you would still be able to tap the audio out from the right side leg of Cap 88.  

 

The only downfall of this is that you will need an amplified speaker that is separate from the SCART connection

I received the speech synthesizer today and tested it with a PAL CV and a SECAM CV. With the PAL it runs perfect. But no audio with the SECAM.

I guess, it's the same issue like with the first run SGM. (Different audio pinout at the expansion Interface)
