All my 7800 boxed games have written NTSC on the boxes. Also Galaga, Donkey Kong, Mario Bros, Centipede worked fine. My Donkey Kong Junior (PAL) had black screen. Your Xevious cartridge seems to have "PROSYSTEM" written in the top label. I found there was a difference in the quality with the display with the 7800 carts compared to the 2600 carts. For example, while playing 7800 Donkley Kong Jr., the characters appeared to look more pixalated on the 2600+ as opposed to actual 7800. The 2600 displays meanwhile looked super crisp and fantastic. Steel76 Posted November 29, 2023 Share Posted November 29, 2023 I'll probably pick up and AV mod an original 7800 instead. I already got my original AV modded 2600 connected through an OSSC. The 2600+ just got too many issues with PAL carts. Maybe they can fix this, but I don't wanna risk getting a console, which might end up being stuck with these issues, forever. JetmanUK Posted December 15, 2023 Share Posted December 15, 2023 I just bought Karateka, PAL. Cleaned it, put it in the console, loads, black screen. I don't have a 7800 to test it on, but I assume it's the emulation as Choplifter did the same. Again, Atari's list shows it as working, again must be the NTSC version. I tried changing the colour palette in Stella on my PC and you can definitely get an improvement on this, so I don't think it's been changed yet.
