No Linux. No Mac.

What a pain in the ass.   I'm just about done with any device that pulls this sh!t.  It's old.  I wonder if they are aware firmware updates can be performed thru a web browser; so OS agnostics is not an issue?

FWIW, the standard tools that they used for their update are available for other OSes, they just weren't included by MyArcade.

Someone will have to take the risk and give it a try, then tell us how it goes.

Of course depending on the boot loader that they used, it may also be possible to update via the SD card.

Hi there,

Looking at what linux sees in "lsusb" after plugging it into my laptop, then holding reset and powering on, it is  "Fuzhou Rockchip Electronics Company RK3036 in Mask ROM Mode"

The official Rockchip firmware tools seem to only run on windows.

I did see someone flashing a Rockchip device with the same chip, using Linux and tools from "firefly". For fun maybe look for the opensource "rkdeveloptool". I didn't have to go down this road, as my wife uses windows.

It is terrible that it is nearly 2024, and manufactures cannot make things OS agnostic at this point.
