oracle_jedi
Recently acquired my first Vectrex, and have been having a great time exploring some of the library of games on the Multicart. One question for the experts - most of the games seem to feature an animated attract mode when the game ends, but a few - notably "Marine Fox", a home brew, leave a static image with some elements quite bright. Is there a risk of screen burn by leaving this game running for an extended period of time? Is it considered better to turn the unit off if I am not actively going to be playing it for an hour or more? I like leaving the unit running when I am on a conference call - the glow of Minestorm is oddly therapeutic - but I don't want to mistreat the unit given its age. TheCurlyBard
I'm a newbie to Vectrex, but as its a regular tube with a modified control unit, I'd say its absolutely going to be prone to burn in. You should def power it off when possible.
