If you're looking for some older games to play on the show, here are a few that I like (almost all puzzlers).

Dyna Blaster (2004 ABBUC Winner)

Nibbly (2006)

Sudoku Sweep (2006)

ECKN (2007 ABBUC 5th)

Mind Blast (2007)

Swapz (2008)

Loops DX (2009)

Diamondz (2010)

h3x0r Deluxe (2010 ABBUC 3rd)

[Edit]

Diamondz had a couple of sequels too, if you're into it.

No problem; it's good to dig up these old gems sometimes.

Also, I forgot to mention there is an updated version of ECKN that was done after the ABBUC contest, which included some additions, fixes, and changes.

ECKN+

I think this one is done. The front-page news article on AtariOnline.pl included this statement in it's intro before discussing details about the game:

"Krzysiek has just finished another game, about which he tells below:".

Thanks for the heads up on that, I've moved it to completed and will be playing it on ZPH tomorrow! Looking forward to it!

Kobo800 is looking good so far.

Just an observation @shanti77 (great work BTW) - and forgive my meddling in a great wip project as I suspect you are trying to keep kobo800 close to it's original - but almost the same engine/aesthetic used in some of the gtia graphics backgrounds and scrolling used in the amazing Atariblast would work really well with kobo800 IMHO. Especially given the kobo enemy base structures are all right angle lines. Gtia mode graphics would look great. Further colours and scrolling in the very furthest background could add a real sense of depth and 3D. I love the way atariblast plays to the a8's strength with its mixing of graphics modes, pmgs, etc on screen to bring colour and depth.

So the 16 shade  and also colour effects in the background in these levels you see in Atariblast here:

Long play vid of the game here. :)

Either way great wip game. :)

Please update the date. The V2 release was just 7 hours later than the original release. I just updated my page: 2024-02-28.

For the final "binary", you can link directly the disk image: ROADRUN.ATR. As it is an Atari BASIC game, the Atari computer must be powered on with BASIC ROM (without pressing OPTION key).

Thanks for the info Vitoco, I've updated the listing! 🙂

I tend to link to the page that contains the binary or mentions the update to the game rather than the binary itself as some developers remove old ones which could leave my listings with many dead links over time.
