Keir
Week of 3/3/24 - 3/10/24 Played a little more for the 2600 HSC, and also spent some time with a few new games I got. I couldn't wrap my head around how to solve Dice Puzzle, but after playing I learned that you can change the diagonals too. I'll have to try that one again. China Syndrome seems kind of fun at first (for a Spectravision game anyway) but is too easy for too long and when it does become difficult it gets too hard too quickly! Also, don't take so long to tell me I've lost China Syndrome! TheGameCollector
The past week I played: Super Mario Bros.: Level-Headed for NES - 196 minutes Zelda Randomizer for NES - 217 minutes X-Men Legends for PS2 - 179 minutes progress: Zelda: I completed 1 more randomly generated game from my 2nd set. Mario: I completed 9 out of 10 more randomly generated games from my 3rd set. The one I didn't complete had a glitch when I grabbed a flagpole during an auto-scrolling level that didn't stop scrolling soon enough. It might be beatable if I replay it and just grab the flagpole at the bottom at the last second instead of jumping for the top. X-Men Legends: I played until reaching the point where I have to choose to either go to the Astral Plane or the Weapon X Facility next.
+jgkspsx
Since I will forget about them by the time next week rolls around, some additional gaming, particularly Virtual Boy homebrew: Arcade: Avenging Spirit - 60 min (more) Beat the arcade version too. Both really great games. Obviously the arcade game is better at being an arcade game, but I found the choices made porting it to Game Boy to be very interesting and logical. It's easier in some ways and harder in others, particularly one boss. But it's amazing how faithful they managed to stay to the original. It has to be the Game Boy game with the widest variety of playable characters, by a large large margin. Skippy B. Coyote
Last week was too busy to get in any gaming time, but I'm back this week with a little time to contribute! I also got a couple new emulation handhelds this week and, after spending a fair few hours setting them up and configuring them to my liking, I'm really enjoying them! It's really neat that technology has finally advanced enough to have a small pocketable device like the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro that's powerful enough to play all the GameCube and Wii games I want full speed and upscaled to 720p, and I'm really digging the classic Game Boy form factor of the RG353V for all the retro systems that are less demanding to emulate. Yup, that problem was solved a few years back and every emulator for disc based games now has a "disc swap" option in the menu that you can bring up at any time during a game. Jawbreaker (Atari 2600) becomes member #555 in the 1000 Minute Club with a total of 1024 minutes. Also, the tracker now has a total of 15001 games listed, of which some are placeholder entries but the majority have minutes recorded for those. TampaBay
I just bought a racing wheel and pedal set so my "driving game" stats are about to go through the roof! It's just a (relatively) inexpensive one that doesn't even have force feedback, and I still love it. This thing is awesome!! (The HORI Racing Wheel Apex). So far I've been playing a ton of Daytona USA 2, Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast, classic Out Run, and Cruis'n USA. All of them are incredible with the racing wheel.

carlsson
Atari 8-bit: Diamond Mine - 2 min. Apparently the graphics for this game were designed with NTSC artifacting in mind, and thus it looks less pleasant on PAL. Combined with other factors, I didn't play more than that, and instead concentrated on sleeping and programming.
