Super Mario Bros: Level-Headed (which now has been merged into one entry for all versions) is 3 min ahead of Spider-Man on the PS4, which is the most played post-2000 game. Systems wise, the Atari 2600 is back at the top, more than 3.5 hours ahead of the NES and another two hours ahead of the most played post-2000 system, the Switch. The new, "merged" 5000 Minutes Club sees Spider-Man (PS4) enter it at 5228 min, which in the grand scheme of things equals a total 119th place in the combined tracker. A total of 127 games out of 14790 (0.85%) have reached this milestone. Of course the top two still are Kaboom! (241201 min) and PUBG (108456 min) and the cut-off for all-time top 10 now is 24828 minutes (Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Switch). Out of the top 50, a whopping 15 games (30%) are from the classic tracker, of which two out of the top 10. Five of the top 50 have been played this year: Kaboom!, Solar Fox, Alien: Isolation, Tetris (NES) and Duolingo. 5 3 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/359137-what-have-you-played-weekly-tracker-2024-all-generations/page/4/#findComment-5395181 Share on other sites

carlsson
Nothing to report this week, unfortunately. Time flew by on work and other duties. Well, I did play some solitaire games now and then but I don't measure the time spent on those since I don't take those as seriously as other video games. 3 3 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/359137-what-have-you-played-weekly-tracker-2024-all-generations/page/4/#findComment-5398568 Share on other sites
Kurt_Woloch
Here are my times for this week (January 22th through 28th, 2024)... sorry, I didn't play any games this week. I read up on some though... in particular, I watched some videos about LCD pinball games and compared Nintendo's double-screen version with that of a different manufacturer which has got more LCD segments so that more different ball positions are possible, but the ball always moves in a straight line which isn't realistic. Nintendo's pinball, in contrast to that, has fewer possible ball positions, but the way the ball jumps from position to position looks somewhat more realistic. The second thing I was wondering about was how the sprite hardware of the Donkey Kong arcade game works. I haven't really come to a conclusion there. They talked about a bank of shift registers handling the sprites, but it's pretty unknown how many of them actually are and how in detail they work i.e. how they are supposed to be programmed. Other than that, there were two farewell parties from colleagues this week, and I did my quarterly cemetary tour today, visiting 5 tombs instead of 4 for the first time. 4 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/359137-what-have-you-played-weekly-tracker-2024-all-generations/page/4/#findComment-5398640 Share on other sites

+jgkspsx
I'll take Potpourri for 1000 (minutes), Alex. Arcade: Alcon - 25 min Snow Brothers - 95 min Still stuck at a plateau. Browser: Paku Paku - 175 min I frequently top 20000 now and am increasingly hitting 25000. Suika Game - 59 min First 2500 point game on mobile, so close to two watermelons... Nintendo Entertainment System: Dig Dug II - 78 min Nintendo Game Boy: From Below Pocket - 65 min That octopus is a straight-up asshole. Nintendo Switch: Another Code ReCollection - 65 min One of my favorite Touch Generations DS/Wii series gets reborn with modernized graphics. Unfortunately I couldn't take the voice acting in either English or Japanese so I turned it off. Otherwise a great update even if I still prefer the original DS game so far. Daily Dadish - 5 min F-Zero 99 - 20 min Hot Springs Story - 860 min This is an idleish game so I deducted 200 minutes from the total recorded by the Switch. It's hard to tell how to measure playtime for this, but I am done with it for now. Knights of the Rogue Dungeon - 15 min Basically Q*Bert with money. Pinball FX3 - 15 min Tetris 99 - 35 min Nokia N-Gage: Pathway to Glory - 45 min A moment of silence please for a fine young Welsh gentleman cut down in his prime. Cydymdeimlad dwysaf. Warhammer 40K: Glory in Death - 75 min Definitely death, not so much glory. Sega Genesis: Psycho Pinball - 25 min TinyCircuits Thumby: Tennis - 12 min I was trying to beat the computer 5-0, but only got down to 5-1. 7 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/359137-what-have-you-played-weekly-tracker-2024-all-generations/page/4/#findComment-5398792 Share on other sites
CapitanClassic
Jan 22-28 times: Android RB College - 173 min Atari 2600 (LegendsFB) Berserk- 30 min Kung Fu Master - 25 min Solar Plexus - 20 min Thrust+(v1.2) Platinum- 15 min Times for 2600 are guesstimates, but probably within 5-10 mins of actual. Forgot to start my timer. Genesis (LegendsFB) Lightning Force II - 60 min Streets of Rage 2 - 25 min Abused the rewind feature for Lighting Force II. The game does give our lives like crazy, but the side-scrolling levels have quite a few cheap deaths. 9 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/359137-what-have-you-played-weekly-tracker-2024-all-generations/page/4/#findComment-5398808 Share on other sites

Wayler
Got back to some gaming last week, as opposed to just talking about it or looking at it. Skippy B. Coyote
I played a pretty good number of games this week, including a couple games for the Atari 2600 High Score Club, finished up my playthrough of the original Sonic the Hedgehog, then did a full playthrough of Dead Space: Extraction for the Wii on my Odin 2. I also installed some snazzy new Super Famicom colored buttons in the Odin 2 that I think came out really nicely!
