VCS adapter only outputs black + white

Hi,

A few years ago I bought a 5200 off Facebook Marketplace and it came with a CX-55 VCS adapter. The system itself works great but the VCS adapter only outputs black and white video. There's no TV type switch on the outside like on an actual 2600. I tried opening it myself to no avail. I also brought it to a local game repair shop but they couldn't fix it either. Has anyone else had this issue/does anyone know how to fix it?

Pretty sure the VCS adapter has a separate color trim wheel. Not sure exactly which style it might be, but as everything is being generated inside he adapter and it is only piping the composite video feed into the 5200s RF modulator, the issue is contained within the adapter. So again... color trim wheel is my first thought.

It does.  Same thing happened to mine.
