merman
My latest homebrew column for Retro Gamer included an interview with Professor Peer Johanneson of Pforzheim University. Every year since 2017 he has been running an advanced programming course, using the Vectrex console. Here is the link to 2023's entries: https://bit.ly/vectrex2023 Among my favourites from the 2023 edition are WetCat (think Squid Jump with a cat), Tee Time (miniature golf), VecVenture (Rogue-style adventure), VecDrift (driving car with a choice of cars) and FreeRidge (snowboarding game with a cute penguin). 4 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/360018-vectrex-academy-2023/ Share on other sites
hcmffm
Thank you for your info, @merman. Vectrex Academy is really something special and it's amazing what Peer and "his" students achieve in few months, only. I'd be interested to read your article. I assume RetroGamer is a paper magazine and not available online, right? 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/360018-vectrex-academy-2023/#findComment-5395936 Share on other sites

There is a digital version available through the Retro Gamer app and Readly - this article is in my homebrew column for issue 255. 2 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/360018-vectrex-academy-2023/#findComment-5398983 Share on other sites
