Help! Kung fu master

So I have an issue.  Not sure if anyone else has had same issue or not.   But I recently got Kung Fu Master for the Atari 2600+ (it passed on compatibility list)  

 

The issue is this.   It starts right up (great)

 

Then the problems begin

 

Either the guy freezes up

 

The guy disappears

 

Or the game resets 

 

All these issues happen right at beginning OR half way through the stage

 

Is anyone else having this issue?  Would the firmware update to 1.1 fix this? (I'm still on 1.0)

I got Kung-Fu Master earlier this week (PAL) and I was already on firmware 1.1 at the time. It worked perfect for me and I got to the 2nd Level Boss.

 

Hopefully the update might sort that for you.

I have two cartridges with Kung-Fu Master for Atari 2600 and both work on 2600+.

I would clean it again. I think you said in another thread that it was cleaned and tested before it got to you? but it could be clean enough to run on an original 2600 but not clean enough to run on the 2600+.

Clean, clean, clean.  And then clean it again.
