So I just got Solaris off eBay yesterday. Another one that says it was tested and is working but it was filthy and wouldn't work. 5 q tips with 99% later I got it working. :)

Anywho, I forgot how hard the game was. It kicked my ass. I have to download the manual for sure.

q-tips/cotton buds with isopropyl alcohol, DO NOT DRINK! 😂 makes non working games work 99% most of the time..

I spent quite a bit of time on this game. Very good game IMO. I believe it is a sequel to Star Raiders.

A day late, but last night I was going through carts, as normal.  Plug one in, play a game or two, next game, repeat.  Lol!

Until I had Venture in.  I've played it before and enjoyed it, but last night I was hooked on it.  Almost got through the 2nd set but didn't.  If I stayed up later I would've, but darn sleep so I could go to work today interfered.  Hmph!  :lolblue:

Great game. I always find myself coming back to play Venture, and Secret Quest.

I'll defo try and play these two more in depth. The other xonox double ender I have is Spike's peak and ghost Manor.

I've played Spikes peak a few times and got to the 2nd stage. It seems like a poorly developed game to me, collision detection is awful.

Saying that thou, it is definitely playable and quite addictive. Have not played Ghost Manor yet..

I had Spike's Peak and Gost Manor too but sold it as I was disapointed from the games. I loved Spike's Peak on my C64 and the 2600 port is very bad if you compare it with the C64 version. Ghost Manor was Ok but I sold that cart and got Lancelot/Robin for the same price instead. I got rid of the box at some time but kept the manual.

Robin Hood is OK and Lancelot a very good game, so it is a very good double ender🤙

Mines of Minos is pretty good. Their carts are long, but the manuals are short.

👓

How small is the text tho? I would prefer a small manual with large text anyday.

I have to magnify the epyx game manuals😂. I absolutely refuse to wear glasses 👓. They weaken your eyesight, make your eyes lazy..

I just got in a fresh buy from eBay, and tonight I'm hooked on...

TAC SCAN

Not as good as the arcade, but a wonderful port.  I think what is hooking me is that the game starts comfortably but progresses quickly.  I feel like I'm doing something and not dying fast.

Two of my favorites on the system. I think Solaris is nearly perfect.

I finally ordered Circus Convoy and I’ve been playing the digital copy on my android tablet.

having a blast with it really. Discovering all the things about it has been a joy.

An absolutely amazing 2600 game.

That looks VERY interesting!  I'll have tonfind a YouTube video of it.  The screen pic sort of reminds me of Wild Western in the arcade.  Man, I enjoyed that game but doubt it could be ported.

I’ve never played a game quite like this. The closest I can compare it to would be Deja Vu on NES. Where it’s like a point and click adventure game except you fully control the character. Only add some clever platforming and minigame challenges as well.

I was playing Atlantis a little while ago on my Flashback 12, so I decided to order it and Demon Attack for my 2600+, as well as replacement labels. Robot Tank is sitting at the post office, waiting for me to pick it up. I'm building a bigger collection of games than I had when I was a kid! 🙂

I had these games as PAL versions before and bought the NTSC version of Atlantis and Demon Attack for the 2600+.

I enjoy the 20% additional speed so much on some games, I got the NTSC version on top🤗

Robot Tank NTSC will be the next one.

Still you get NTSC games in Germany for a good price, as they run on an original machine with wrong colors😊

Going to be playing Private Eye later tonight. I have the map and the instruction booklet. Any tips?

I was going to purchase that CIB, the other day. Looks interesting, good visuals.

I've never played the game, maybe watch a playthrough or review video on youtube?

It's spooky season so I'm going to dive into Haunted House on the 10-in-1. On a side note, the remake is the only game I was disappointed with on Atari 50. It is more unfair than the original. With so many achievements/trophies assigned to it, I put a lot of time into it. 🙄

The originals are 'always' the best, in my opinion. When you start to improve visuals etc, it takes away the nostalgia of certain games for older players. Maybe not so for newer..

That was my feeling the other night.  October...  Halloween...

I didn't have this game BITD but have had an original cart for over 20 years now.  I tried it back then but had no idea what I was doing, so it sat.  I printed a manual a month ago, read it, played it...  and I understand the love for this game.  I now understand what I'm doing and it's a great game!  Definitely a "must play!"

Fun as heck game but definitely not that easy.  I played it a lot when I bought it in the 80s, and for me, the included map made it a bit confusing.  When playing, I tried to remember scenery so I knew where I was.

It'll take a little to get the hang of it, and I don't think I ever tried a level other than 1.  Lol!
