CommodoreCEO
Hey all, I couldn't quite find a definitive answer on this through searching (due to the enshittification of web search) but I was wondering if anyone had a link to an AV mod kit for the Colecovision that is compatible with PAL consoles? I can only seem to find kits that mention NTSC compatibility only. Thanks!
OurVision
This search may hopefully help. I didn't see a kit for sale but it might be a start. https://yandex.com/search/pad/?text=colecovision+pal+av+mod Edited March 3 by OurVision

marauder666
https://gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=av:cbs_coleco I've used this circuit in PAL consoles, not bad, works ok, easy to fit. I did end up with a console at some point that had this circuit on a simple etched PCB, found it on ebay and i think it was made by a Turkish person, and cost ridiculous money for the few parts involved. Console was modded for RGB, so it was removed. I don't think I threw it out, must be here somewhere, but where, who knows. I made up smd and through hole version of this circuit which is the same one everyone's been using on PAL consoles for the past decade or so. I didn't like the results on the PAL tv I have here in the shop. All the other people I've talked with in PAL Regions who have this mod circuit in their Colecovision say it's perfectly fine. Maybe it's just my tv, idk. I guess the NTSC composite mod has spoiled me.
marauder666
@CommodoreCEO I found the AV mod. Installed it in a spares console I have with screwed up video, and it works, still screwed up video, but its not the mod, its the console. Do you want it for the price of shipping + beer money from the UK to Ireland? I'll send some pics of where the wires go. No warranty I'm afraid! I live in Northern Ireland so it should be handy sending it via Royal Mail or something. I'll send you a DM.
CommodoreCEO
Thank you to @marauder666 for sending me the AV mod. This is working brilliantly along with my Backbit cart. I just need to get the Super Game Module now to play the full library!
