Nightdive's acclaimed System Shock remake heading to consoles in May

Nightdive is promising HD visuals (running at up to 60fps in 4K on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S), an overhauled interface, and all-new sounds and music, as seen in the PC version. That's alongside additional enhancements for consoles, including redesigned controls for gamepads, as well as a revised ending that "upgrades the final confrontation with SHODAN", and an optional female hacker protagonist.

I'm still waiting and wondering what happened with me getting a physical boxed copy of this remake on PC? Only thing I received was the Beta backer version of the game from Steam which is missing some of the content of the final released game.

Well it's about time, this game has been available on PC since March of last year, can't believe it's taken them a full year  to finally port the game to consoles, still better late than never, the most important thing is that more people than ever before are finally gonna have the opportunity to play this masterpiece.

It released on Steam May 30th 2023.... so 9.5 months.

...and rumor says it was ready but held off by the publisher- PrimeMatter.   So if that is true...

Wanted to update that I did indeed receive my physical copy of the game last week. It ended up being distributed by Limited Run Games and so I was surprised when I had some package coming in from Las Vegas headed my way. What I ordered was the steel book physical release and it only came with the steel book case, a game disc on DVD and a business card with Tri-optimum graphical flair that contained my Steam redemption codes for the game and OST. So like most PC physical releases, it is just a steam installer. However, one interesting thing about this one, is that once I redeemed the key through the installer, it did show it was unpacking about 8GB of data from the disc? So it could actually be most of the game on the actual disc and the Steam code is proof of ownership to unlock it. But that makes me wonder if it can be removed and reinstalled again but under a different owner? I'm guessing it wouldn't at that point and is a single install only game.

Another thing I noticed, is that the actual full release appears to have different level layouts and objectives from what I was playing on the Beta a year or so back?
