Brufnus
After receiving a few extra SCA-68 pin-50 pin adapter boards, I initially had some problems with recognition of the 2nd SCA-drive (and lacked the time to try out different configurations as well). Returning from work today, I decided to give it another try; this time successful after a few minor adjustments/jumper settings. Thus, I now have about 1 Gig of online storage space on one of my Geneve's, still expandable even! Right now I'm in the process of formatting the 2nd SCSI drive; then that one will be used as a backup for the primary drive. I'm pretty excited about witnessing how a hardback or xcopy will perform between a couple of SCSI drives... c".) 🤩 Edited November 8 by Brufnus 4 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/364565-new-scsi-card/page/3/#findComment-5562618 Share on other sites
Brufnus
Alas, I couldn't resist these ZuluSCSI's after all. Yesterday I received one from the U.S., plugged in my already prepared SD-card, attached the emulator to the Shift838 card, and it worked perfectly right away. Initially I powered it from the USB connector on the SCSI card, since I didn't know whether that one provides termination power (which can be used as the only power source for the Zulu)... but now I've removed the USB cable, and indeed, the Zulu runs fine with only the SCSI cable attached. I thought I was done with hardware projects for a while, hmm... 4 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/364565-new-scsi-card/page/3/#findComment-5575942 Share on other sites
