Zafinn Books
Just a heads-up for Jaguar fans here! If you want to book your copy of GameGuide for the Jaguar, I can take pre-orders for a limited time beginning Monday, 29th April. I hope to ship orders end of July/August (depending on print lead time). My self-published books are stock limited. First 50 orders will get a special GameGuide goodie bag with themed gifts to celebrate the books release. Every copy ships with free themed vinyl stickers 🥰 Contains the history of the Jaguar, interviews, resources, hardware & reviews of all the officially released games. More info soon on the website. *Note: If you have a special Jaguar related project you would like mentioned in the book, please send me a private message. Thank you! Thank you again to all my fellow Atari nuts and loyal Atari fans out there 😊 Edited April 21 by Zafinn Books

Fadest
There was some pages on homebrew in the Lynx Game Guide, so I guess there will be also for the Jaguar. Of course, it cannot be exhaustive...

I haven't read that so I can't comment. The GameGuide series (Atari ST and Lynx, and now Jaguar) is different in that it contains history, hardware, reviews, resources and interviews within a themed design layout and quick reference. Might have to play on it some more 😁

Because its called "game guide" and given the very limited library it would be nice to cover at least some of the best aftermarket/homebrews that people could still buy/ download for reasonable prices. Personally, I am tired of discussing the same 50 retail games over and over again.

Appreciate where you’re coming from, but I will ne’er tire of discussing the Big Fifty! I only have 48, and am now anticipating getting home to ogle them …
+cubanismo
Gotta respect the classics! And if there's one thing we can all agree on it's that no one here can agree on a fucking thing, so the discussion will never end. Long live Supercross 3D! 3

GameGuide ST and Lynx covered much more than games, it covered history, hardware, resources and had interviews as well as other great content. I'm doing the same again for the Jaguar, and the book is for old and new players too.

LordKraken
I understand the insane amount of work required to cover Jaguar homebrews. Now I still hope that the most emblematic original games are covered. It's not tha many and most are in the top tiers games of the machine. 1
KidGameR186496
Personally, i would love to see the early homebrew games covered in the book. It would be cool for people to learn about early Jaguar homebrew authors such as Bastian Schick, Matthias Domin, among others. They are pretty much the OG homebrew guys from the old days as well as Lawrence, who was working on Slam Racer for Atari before becoming one of the more renowed homebrew authors in the Jaguar scene.
