I could line them up like in the Arcade version, but there was so much flickering involving the sprites that I thought it would be better to rearrange everything. As we can see on the Arcade World Map, the last stage, which is Astaroth's castle, is embedded in or inside a mountain, meaning it appears to be an underground kingdom. When rearranging the Map in this first attempt, I found it better to represent the descent into depths using stairs, in the classic style of Donkey Kong, but in reverse.
