ROM is not supported. You can try a utility to break the file up. Have to check on the name but I had to do it for a few. Not all ROM files work on the PiTRO2. Here you go - all the entries from IntyBASIC contest 2015 as bin+cfg, with shortened names + scorecard as PDF. Just put it all in a folder, drag it to the PiRTO II and have fun! Tissemon
Oh, and a little FYI for everybody. All .ROM-files can be converted to bin+cfg. Download JZIntv for Windows here: http://spatula-city.org/~im14u2c/intv/ Unpack it to a folder, and in that folder you will find a subfolder named BIN. In there you have rom2bin.exe. Drag .rom-files to that .exe-file (or drag the .exe file to the .rom-file? Can't remember) - anyway it will create a bin+cfg for your .rom-game. You can also do it from cmd - just type rom2bin gamename.rom Easy-peasy!
Tissemon
Ok, so I just noticed a VERY weird issue. I've got two PAL Intellivisions right now, both with the same type of motherboard and both can run RTO and PiRTO II fine. Both can also run my original games through my Intellivoice on both consoles, so nothing wrong with the Intellivoice . But here comes the weird part: On one of my consoles, Intellivoice + RTO and PiRTO II works perfectly fine - speech in the games that support it, and all! But on my other console, PiRTO II won't even boot to the menu (I just get three vertical lines on the screen and a humming noice). And with the RTO I can start B17-bomber, but it gets stuck in a loop on the startup screen (that displays fine), just saying "B17 Bomber" over and over again, and I can't start the game. Any suggestions on what could be wrong?
aotta
First thing I'd check is an undervoltege.. try with powering pirto via usb or replacing the diode with a direct link if it solves

Any suggestions on what could be wrong? Could it possibly be capacitors failing in the console? Maybe even voltage regulator needing replaced? Not getting consistent 5v may be due to those 2 things. Not getting consistent 5v may be due to those 2 things. Power PCB has got both new regulators and new capacitors, so that shouldn't be the issue. The Main board is also re-capped. I tried with powering the PiRTO II with 5V through usb, but it didn't make any difference at all. I've also tried reflowing all pins in the connector, since I was thinking that maybe the voice-module use some extra pin that isn't used by any other carts, but that didn't help either. After trying a bit more with turning on and off and reset cart and Intellivision a few times, I managed to get B17 bomber running perfectly fine from the RTO. Did the same procedure with PiRTO II and managed to get a clean boot from it with splash-screen and the short melody. But instead of showing the file-menu, it just shows me garble and a humming noice. I'm about to give up on troubleshooting this, since it's so random and that it actually works with my RTO now. But it is a bit annoying. I've done a Composite mod on this "trouble machine" where I've removed the RF unit completely. It shouldn't be an issue since all other carts works fine - but then again, it might be related... But yes, you guys are probably right in that is a power issue - INTV + PiRTO = fine, INTV + voice = fine, INTV + voice + PiRTO = might be a bit too much to handle for this PCB. To make things even more weird - the other PCB that I have, where INTV + voice + PiRTO works fine, is the one that doesn't always send ready on msync on boot. Can't have a INTV where everything is normal....

sgeist28
I just loaded bin files and 0.cfg to my pirto2 cart. I get the loading game screen but nothing happens. What would next steps be to troubleshoot ?

Numan
I get the loading game error for 4-tris. I renamed it to 4tris. I saw that maybe the directory (ABC) is full but I have Carol and Super Pro Auto Racing also in the directory and they do not have the same error. What could I be doing wrong or is 4tris a special case?
Numan
I would have edited the prior post but could not do so if it is possible. I created a folder with the games that would not run, they had their own cfg and a 0 cfg. They are crimson tower, deep zone, space patrol, space shuttle and stonix, in addition to 4tris. Boot Hill did run without issues and for me was a hilarious experience even if it was a port. I would have brought the whole 2018 folder but my pirto did not have enough room. I do have a spare. I don't remember for all games, but for sure 4-tris PD works on Pirto, try with 0.cfg only in root (pirto look for it if not found a .cfg files with same name of bin). I don't know if the final version has some JLP commands, in that case the game would not supported by PiRTO.
sgeist28
Thanks all for the advice. Once I created folders and split files up, and added config files to root most games have been fixed.
Numan
Maybe that's it (JLP commands), because going with 0.cfg did not work.

Stonix and Space Patrol works for me with the cfg generated by rom2bin.exe - I havn't got the other games, but if you send the .rom-files for them over, I can try to convert and test them as well. sgeist28
Another releated NOOB question. I know .rom files can be converted to .bin for use on PIRTOII, but what about .int files? is there a way to convert?
