tripletopper
I'm trying to copy and paste the quotes I put on my own post on a different thread on here. So for everyone's sake I'll summarize it quicker here: My question is if you understand the research of the intellivision human logic of the controller, and you only care about getting a four-way controller (mechanically locking out diagonals) or an eight-way controller, then to wire the joystick you just need north 2 south 4 east 3 and west 1 are correct and each adjacent Cardinal when with an "And gate" to light up pin 9. All the other buttons are self-explanatory. (L= 67 R= 78 T= 68, keys 6-8;represents column, 4-1 represent row) But the human operator must push either the keypad or up to one button and the directions stick simultaneously or else you get quirky errors. Since my Sinister Stick starts as one signal equals one wire, that it should be fairly easy to build a Sinister Stick, or any uncoded fight stick (which would be any fightstick if you remove the console-specific PCB and rewire controls direct to TRS 3.5 mm) to Intellivision adapter. Of course this assumes Intellivision 2 wiring but thankfully I have 2 8-Bit widgets Flashback to INTV2 connectors and could reverse them with gender-changing db9 caps. And sorry for posting on the wrong topic even though it was related to earlier discussions. Now I agree, it wasn't related enough.
